4th of July

As has been our tradition for the last few years, we took the girls to see the fireworks in Red Lion.  My dad, stepmom, and brother go there as well and my sister often will meet us there.  We always have fun going and this year was probably the best showing of fireworks yet!  The girls had fun setting of some sparklers with their Aunt Christie, though it did make me a little nervous.  Marissa is a little dangerous with those things.  Lots of fun though!

Jason's State Truck Driving Championship

After 3 years, Jason decided to participate in the State TDC again!  I actually enjoy going with him to this and it is a good opportunity for the girls to see what their daddy does.  It was a very hot weekend for this but we still all had fun.  It was a completely different experience for Jason this time especially since they had a small team.  Last time he did this in 2009 he was the only driver for his company.  This year it was him and 3 other guys!  Hopefully they keep doing it and get better :)

Playing in our new pool!

Unfortunately it's only a toddler size pool and I can not enjoy the benefits of this as well.  However, even with the weather not being extremely hot this weekend the girls certainly did enjoy it.  I'm sure when even hotter days come they will enjoy it even more!

Memorial Day weekend and Port Discovery

So our normal Memorial Day weekend is spent at the beach at my mom's house.  She lives in Selbyville Delaware which is not very far from Fenwick Island and about 30 mins or so from Ocean City, MD inlet area.  However, this year we had a realization that the trip down my not be possible or realistic for many reasons.  One of which was with Jason's schedule it is very hard to plan a weekend trip anywhere, especially when 4 hrs away.  Also, with Marissa's recent car sickness going on we also realized that there was a very real possibility that she would vomit in the car on the way down there.  So needless to say we re-thought that plan.  Thankfully so, as Jason did not get home till very late on Friday night and spent most of the day Monday sleeping to go back to work.  We did however plan a trip to Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore (Inner Harbor) which started in diseaster.  Of course we were trying to divert the car sickness in planning a closer trip and needless to say Marissa ended up puking in my car yet again as soon as we pulled into the parking garage!!!  Well, at least the day wasn't ruined.  She was fine after that and my mom still got to see as she came and meet us there.  We also at lunch at Chicago Uno's Pizza Grill on the Harbor.  It was a nice day.  I took a good bit a pictures and here is just a few...

Jellystone Campground

We finally decided to spend the extra money and take the girls camping at Jellystone Campground, the Yogi campground in Quarryville. It has a ton of activities that are included in the rate but is very expensive during prime season. We did find that it is a little cheaper prior to prime season and there is one weekend (this past weekend) that the pool is open and it is not prime season rates. So, we reserved a site and headed out. Luckily we we had beautiful weather and had lots of fun. I think the pictures will tell the rest!

 Playground

Bounce pillow, Rylee moved to quick to even get a picture!

 Miniature golf...
There was also the pool and spray area which the girls loved even though the water as a little chilly!  Plus all the planned activities.  Lots of fun for all and very tiring.

Rylee's cheerleading game

Rylee's final week of cheerleading camp ended with a game.  Though she kept saying she didn't like it, she did say she had fun after the game.  She was still going back and forth as to whether she wanted to do this again or not.  She is telling us now that she would like to play soccer so we will see what the future holds for her...
