Rylee's gymnastics

On Monday, September 12th Rylee has started a gymnastics program.  Jason and I have talked on numerous occasions about how we should get the kids involved in things.  So we finally did.  For 6 weeks, Rylee will attend KinderGym on Monday nights.  She is really enjoying this so far and is doing very well with the other kids.  It's quite a range of kids (ages 3-5) but she adjusts well and deals with the younger ones who don't do quite as well with rules and lines.

Yesterday, her Aunt Christie came along to watch Rylee at gymnastics and she even took some pictures to send to us.

Stay tuned for some more as after this ends both girls will be involved in activities.  Starting November 3rd, Rylee will be doing KinderDance and Marissa will be doing KinderTots.  It should be very interesting!

Birthday parties

Today we tried something new for the first time since having 2 children.  We've decided that we would have one combined party for the family to celebrate both Rylee and Marissa's birthdays since they are so close together.  Rylee turned 5 on September 6th and Marissa will be turning 2 on October 22nd.  Here are a few of the pictures we got from that fun day.  The girls really did enjoy the party and even got to enjoy an allergy free store bought cake for the first time.  Typically mommy has to make a cake cause most places can not guarantee a allergy free cake free of cross-contamination.

Rylee's 5th birthday

So yesterday my baby girl turned 5!  So hard to believe as it feels like just yesterday I was giving birth to her. I remember it so clearly. Anyways, we had a mini party for with just us (Jason, me & the girls).  The girls are having a big party this weekend for both their birthdays.  Here's some of the pictures we took at our mini celebration this weekend.

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY RYLEE!!!

Rylee's 1st day of kindergarten

My little baby girl has started school!!  It is so hard to believe that my first child is now a kindergarten student but it has arrived.  On Wednesday, August 24, 2011 we put her on the bus for the very first time and sent her to school.  She loved it and was so excited.  Daddy was happy for her and mommy was just plain nervous.  More so because of all her allergies more then anything.  But I covered all bases with that so I had to trust in the new adults that were coming into her life.  So far so good!  She has a teacher who seems to be pretty great so far and Rylee seems to like her.  And of course my little social butterfly has made tons of friends (Ellie, Isabella, Allegra, Haley, Lucas, and the list goes on...).  So with the dust settling from her big 1st day I thought it was long over due for me to share some pictures.

She went to daycare as normal that morning and then Jason and I joined her there as she got ready to head down the street to catch the bus.

After getting her ready at the house and gathering her entourage (the other daycare kiddos) we headed to the bus stop and waited...

Then we were fortunate as the principal was allowing a trial run for parents to be at the school on the 1st day of school.  So after Rylee was safely on the bus we headed to the school and got to watch her get off the bus and line up.  She did such a great job and started talking to other little girls immediately!

And of course there was the end of the day.  We went back over to her daycare and was at her bus stop to get her off the bus on the first day of school.
