Marissa's 4 mo checkup

Marissa had her 4 month checkup on her 4 month birthday (2/22/10). She weighed in at 12 lbs 4 oz (25th percentile) and is 23 3/4 inches long (25th percentile). Her head is 42 inches around. She isn't growing as fast as I expected, which is cause I'm basing it on how quickly Rylee sprouted, but she is growing and that is all that matters. She is just our little sweet pea!! As you can see below though she is bound and determined to start crawling.

So I'm a little late on this but I just got it from my sister. Back at Christmas, while celebrating at my dad and stepmom's house Rylee decided she was going to serenade us. She started off singing about the Christmas tree ornaments and who knows where it went from there. Enjoy!!!

Sledding 2/27/10

So we finally got to take Rylee out sledding. After all this snow we went to visit my dad and stepmom, so Rylee could go sledding with my brother, Jimmy, who is 8 years old. My stepmom's family has a farm which they live 2 doors down from and they have some hills in the pasture. After we all got ready and loaded up, Rylee took her trial run on the beginner hill. This was the snow piled up in my dad's front yard from plowing. We moved onto the intermediate hill which was an even bigger pile of plowed snow on the farm. Once she survived that we moved into the pasture to the even bigger hills of snow. I think the adults had more fun than Rylee and Jimmy. Marissa sleep the hole time in her snuggli on me,even when I decided that it was my turn to sled down the big hill! I was convinced to do this by my husband who claimed he would pull me back up, though he was lying! In the end, we all had a lot of fun and were extremely exhausted :)

Blizzard 2010

So within in less than 5 days we had around 4 feet of snow dumped on us. On the 6th we had a little over 2 feet, and luckily the sun started to melt that. Than yesterday we ended up with all but another 2 feet. Rylee wanted to go out and play but she realized real quick that she wasn't getting very far. Especially when she got to the end of the sidewalk and the snow pile was as tall as her. Needless to say we had a lot of fun shoveling out, haha!!! Boy do I hope spring comes soon :)
